Apart but never far

 

When Covid hit it was especially heartbreaking for grandparents advised to isolate completely from their families due to their added risk.

 

McDonald's was already offering books as an alternative to the toy in the Happy Meal, so we decided to facilitate virtual reading sessions between children and their grans by sending them the Happy Meal book instead. This reminded people that being close doesn't necessarily require being near.
